Deep Roots and Dedication

Russell Gray is a lifelong resident of Albany and currently serves as an incumbent on the Dougherty County Commission. Deeply rooted in the community, he brings a practical understanding of local issues and a longstanding commitment to public service.

Gray was raised in a family dedicated to the rule of law and civic responsibility. His father served as a long-term Superior Court Judge, instilling in him an early appreciation for integrity, accountability, and the importance of fair and effective government.

A devoted father, Gray raised three children in Albany and remains closely connected to the community’s families, schools, and local institutions. His personal and professional experiences continue to shape his approach to leadership, with a focus on strengthening the local economy, maintaining infrastructure, and supporting public safety.

During his tenure as Commissioner, Gray has emphasized responsible fiscal management, transparency in government operations, and thoughtful planning for future growth. He is committed to ensuring that Dougherty County remains a strong, stable, and thriving community for current residents and future generations.
